Two men have been arrested and charged in connection to the murder of a Toronto man who was found lying below a balcony on Saturday.
Chad Day, 42, died the evening of Aug. 8, police say. Officers arrived at 103 West Lodge Ave. in Toronto's Parkdale neighbourhood to find Day on the ground in the front driveway of the apartment building with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said there had been an altercation on a balcony above that led to Day falling, though it's still unclear whether he was killed by injuries sustained before the fall or by the fall itself.
On Wednesday, police arrested two men in connection to Day's death, which is the 75th homicide of the year.
Lee Newelln, a 30-year-old Hamilton man, has been charged with first-degree murder while Christopher Small, 28, also from Hamilton, was charged with second-degree murder.
Police say a third suspect is still outstanding but did not release a name or description.
