Cards for Kids

Students at Mohawk College are hosting a free event to raise support for the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario at downtown public library Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. POGO is dedicated to childhood cancer care through innovation, family assistance, policy and research. At Cards for Kids, youngsters will make cards for children undergoing treatment.

Mentors for women

Women as Career Coaches is being held at the Burlington Convention Centre March 21, 5:15-9 p.m. The 15th annual event hosted by the Halton Industry Education Council will feature more than 600 young women and career coaches talking about career-related topics. Senior of the Year Awards

The City of Hamilton is accepting nominations for the 24th annual Senior of the Year Awards. The deadline for nominations is March 29 at 4 p.m. The awards include nine categories.
