Hamilton pair charged after raid uncovers $31K worth of drugs: police

A man and woman from Hamilton are facing a long list of trafficking charges, police say, after a raid that uncovered drugs worth an estimated $31,000 including nine ounces of cocaine and suspected fentanyl tablets.

A photo of the seized items shared by police shows a bucket full of white powder, a knife and a digital scale featuring a picture of legendary rapper the Notorious B.I.G.

Members of the Mountain HEAT Unit searched a home on Limeridge Road East around 9 a.m. Wednesday, and say they also found hundreds of oxycodone pills, hydromorphone, psilocybin (magic mushrooms), packaging, scales and more than $1,500 in cash.

A 36-year-old man and 37-year-old woman are facing charges for possession for the purpose of trafficking, along with possession of the proceeds of crime.
