It was a morning of support, fun and camaraderie in downtown Burlington Sunday (Oct. 6).
Thousands of area residents, including many cancer survivors and their loved ones, took part in the annual CIBC Run for the Cure, turning local streets into a virtual sea of pink.
The 28th annual fundraising run/walk started and ended at it’s usual location, Central Park in Burlington with participants from Burlington, Oakville and Hamilton taking part.
The CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run raises funds for the Canadian Cancer Society. It is the largest single-day, volunteer-led event in Canada in support of the breast cancer cause.
